Managing practice settings
Open the settings area
Open Settings from the main navigation. The options shown depend on your role, country, active Apps, and practice configuration. Practice owners normally have access to the full settings area. Staff members may see fewer options.
Use the relevant section instead of changing unrelated settings:
- Profile contains your name, contact details, language, and practice information.
- Invoice settings control the practice details and defaults used when creating invoices.
- Calendar settings contain calendar-wide display and scheduling preferences. Opening hours for an individual calendar are managed from the calendar or opening-hours screen.
- Security contains password, session, and other account-security controls.
- Subscription shows the current plan, trial or renewal state, allowances, and billing actions available to the account.
- Apps is where an owner reviews optional features and opens their setup pages.
Save one section before moving to another. Reload the page and confirm the displayed value when a saved setting does not appear to take effect.
Settings that affect clients
Some changes can alter what clients see or receive. Examples include practice contact information, Online Booking configuration, invoice information, message templates, and notification settings. Review the client-facing result after changing one of these areas.
Changing a general setting does not automatically activate an App. If a setting belongs to Online Booking, payments, messaging, accounting, or another optional feature, confirm that the corresponding App is active and fully configured.
If an option is missing
- Confirm that you are signed in to the intended practice.
- Ask the practice owner to check your permissions.
- Check whether the related App is active and available for the practice.
- Check Settings → Subscription when the option depends on a plan, allowance, trial, or paid App.
- Refresh the page after an owner changes your access.
Use the current settings screen as the authority for values saved to your practice. Do not include passwords, login links, API keys, payment credentials, client details, journal content, or other sensitive information in a help question.
