Attendance
What Attendance records
Attendance records whether an eligible participant attended a scheduled appointment or event. It supports operational follow-up and reporting. It is separate from Appointment Status, cancellation state, payment state, and clinical documentation.
Enable and configure
Open Settings → Apps → Attendance and activate the App if it is available. Review the setup status and any required calendar or employee permissions. Decide which authorized roles may view or update attendance.
Record attendance
Open the appointment or event participant record after the session and choose the displayed attendance value. Verify that the change is saved. Use consistent practice rules for attended, absent, or other values offered by the interface.
Correct mistakes through the same authorized record. Do not use attendance to encode a diagnosis, reason for absence, or free-form clinical note. When reports include attendance, verify the date range, timezone, calendar, and participant filters.
If attendance controls are missing, check that the App is active and configured, the record type supports attendance, the session is visible to the signed-in user, and the user has the required permission.
Privacy
Attendance linked to an identified client can be sensitive. Limit it to staff with a valid need. Do not paste participant lists, reasons for absence, appointment notes, or report exports into an AI Assistant question. The Assistant can explain the workflow but cannot read or change attendance records in this phase.
