Add-on services

What an add-on service is

An add-on is an optional item attached to an eligible main service. It can extend a booking with extra time, content, or price. It is not a standalone bookable service unless Practize explicitly presents it that way.

Create and attach an add-on

Open the services area and create the add-on item. Give it a clear client-facing name, price, VAT treatment, and any duration or availability settings shown. Then open each main service that should offer the add-on and attach it.

Activate Add-on services from Settings → Apps when the practice requires that App. Because the App has no separate settings page in some layouts, configuration may happen on the service itself.

Verify the booking flow

Preview the public booking page as a client. Select an eligible service and confirm that the intended add-ons appear, that optional and required behavior is clear, and that the final duration and price are correct before confirmation. Also check the appointment and invoice after a test booking.

If an add-on is missing, check that it is active, attached to the selected service, supported by that booking/payment flow, and visible for the chosen calendar or location. Existing bookings normally keep their recorded line details; changing an add-on should not be assumed to rewrite past bookings.

Permissions and safe use

Only users allowed to manage services should create, edit, or remove add-ons. Avoid names or descriptions containing client-specific or sensitive information. The AI Assistant can explain setup from this article but does not modify services or bookings.
